What Significance does Neauphle-le-Chateau have in Imam Khomeini's life?

This town was the last residence of Imam Khomeini, before his triumphant return to Iran in 1978.

Neauphle-le-Chateau

Imam Khomeini left Najaf for Kuwait on the 4th of October 1978. The Kuwaiti government opposed the Imam's entry to the country. Thus the Imam decided to migrate to Paris. He entered Paris on the 6th of October and chose to reside in Mr. Gazanfarpur's house. The location of the apartment and the people who lived there were among the reasons which made the Imam feel uncomfortable there, and so he asked for another place. Two days later, he was moved to the residence of the Iranian Dr. Askari. Imam stayed in Neauphle-le-Chateau for nearly four months (116 days) before his return to Iran.
