He concealed his sadness while looking at photographs of the martyrs

In his meetings with the warriors, the Imam’s morale was noticeably different as compared to his meetings with others. He had an unusual affection for the martyrs and their families. For quite some time the photographs of the martyrs of the Iran-Iraq war and the Revolution was presented to him for his autograph. Doctors found out that the adverse impact on his physical condition was quite noticeable on each occasion that the Imam signed the photographs of the martyrs. For this reason, the doctors totally prohibited bringing photographs of martyrs for his signature.
